The Sayyids of Hamdani settled in Kolian Hamid Sharif at the time when the honorable father of Sayyid Sayyid Ali Shah Hamdani (may Allah have mercy on him), Sayyid Abdullah Shah Hamdani (of Jhundo Sayyidan), upon the persistent request of the people of Kolian Hamid Sharif, appointed his grandson and the noble son of Sayyid Sayyid Ali Shah Hamdani, Sayyid Gulab Ali Shah Hamdani (may Allah have mercy on him)—a distinguished scholar of Deoband—for the propagation and dissemination of religion in this region.
It was Sayyid Gulab Ali Shah Hamdani (may Allah have mercy on him) who laid the foundation of the Masjid Peeran Wali in Kolian Sharif.

Sayyid Gulab Ali Shah Hamdani (may Allah have mercy on him) had five sons:

Peer Sayyid Imam Ali Shah Hamdani (may Allah have mercy on him)
Sayyid Ahmad Hussain Shah Hamdani (may Allah have mercy on him)
Sayyid Talib Hussain Shah Hamdani (may Allah have mercy on him)
Sayyid Chanan Ali Shah Hamdani (may Allah have mercy on him)
Sayyid Ali Qadar Shah Hamdani (may Allah have mercy on him)
The illustrious son of Sayyid Imam Ali Shah Hamdani (may Allah have mercy on him), Ghaus-e-Zaman Hazrat Peer Sayyid Abdullah Shah Hamdani Thani (may Allah have mercy on him), was both the paternal cousin and the spiritual guide (Pir-o-Murshid) of Sayyid Nazir Hussain Shah Hamdani (may Allah have mercy on him), the revered father of Sayyid Faiz-ul-Hasan Shah Hamdani, the founding patron of Idara Minhaj-ul-Mustafa.

Thus, the establishment of Idara Minhaj-ul-Mustafa carries within it the spiritual blessings and graces of all these noble Hamdani Sayyids.

Sayyid Faiz-ul-Hasan Shah Hamdani lost the loving care of his father at a young age. The custodian of the Khanqah Aaliya Naqshbandiya Qadriya, Bhangali Sharif, Peer Sayyid Muhammad Jabir Ali Shah Hamdani (may his blessings continue), undertook the responsibility of his education and upbringing. In order to provide him with both religious and contemporary education, his cousin, Sahibzada Sayyid Abdul Qadir Shah Hamdani, also pursued education.

Thus, under the guardianship of Sayyid Muhammad Jabir Ali Shah Hamdani and the kindness and affection of Sahibzada Sayyid Zia Muhammad Shah, Sayyid Faiz-ul-Hasan Shah Hamdani began his studies at Minhaj-ul-Quran.

After graduating from Minhaj-ul-Quran, Sayyid Faiz-ul-Hasan Shah Hamdani enrolled in M.Phil. (Islamic Studies) at NUML University. During this period, he initiated Quranic study circles (Dars-e-Quran) for the spiritual and moral training of the people in his area. These Quran lessons gradually became the foundation stone of Idara Minhaj-ul-Mustafa.
